Four earthquakes rocked California within two hours Monday morning.

Earthquakes rumbled through areas near Idyllwild, Walker, Highland Park and Cobb Monday morning between 3:23 a.m. to 5:23 a.m. local time, according to data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey.

Highland Park, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, and Cobb, which is 41.5 miles northwest from Napa Valley, each felt quakes at magnitudes of 3.2.

The earthquake recorded by Walker, located near the Nevada-California boarder, measured at a magnitude of 2.8, while the one near Idyllwild, which is 109 southeast from Los Angeles, was a 2.6.

According to USGS, damage from earthquakes doesn't occur until the quake reaches a magnitude of 4 or 5, but other variables, like the distance from the earthquake or a building's construction, can affect that.
